GASPED has been awarded the Independent Accreditation Programme ‘Quality Mark’ for achieving the LimeCulture: “Quality Standards for Services Supporting Male Victims/Survivors of Sexual Violence”.
The scope of the Quality Mark covers GASPED’s Practical and Emotional Support Services and Counselling Services, which are provided to male victims/survivors of sexual Violence.
This verification helps GASPED to provide assurance to clients, commissioners, funders, Public Health, NHS and other partners. It demonstrates our capability to deliver person-centred and trauma-informed services to help the growing number of anyone who identifies as male that are in desperate need of support for sexual violence.
“It is a huge achievement for our charity, we have been on this journey of supporting increasingly more men and to be verified by LimeCulture with the ability to meet the Quality Standards for Services Supporting Male Victims/Survivors of Sexual Violence is a great accomplishment for all our team here.
This Quality Mark is a testament to the systems and training programs that have been put in place to manage the adoption of the good practices requirements of the standard.” Gemma (Former Operations Manager, GASPED)
“GASPED has invested in providing more support to men over the past 5 years, co-producing services that meet their needs and influencing commissioners for funding to provide them with free support.
GASPED has been delivering support work and counselling services for domestic abuse for 30 years. The past 5 years has seen a steep rise in the number male victims coming forward for help with sexual violence, whether it be current or historic. In turn we have had to find funding streams to support these vulnerable men.” Stan (Chief Executive Officer, GASPED)
“At GASPED we are Charity that continues to listen to clients, communities and partners we serve. West Yorkshire as whole has diverse communities where gender, sexual identification and cultural sensitivity is becoming increasingly important. West Yorkshire Combined Authority and West Yorkshire Police needs assessment also clearly identify the number of males experience sexual violence
We co-produce solutions through participant and asset-based approaches. We are always looking out for opportunities to improve the services we offer our clients and the way we work with partner organisations. As we continue to grow levelling up our charity at all levels is important to us and the achievement of this LimeCulture accreditation.” Niraj (Former Chief Financial Officer, GASPED)
