MAN MATTERS OPEN UP CHALLENGE.

BEHIND THE SCENES

#MANMATTERSOpenUpChallenge

In Nov 2023, we were approached by Georgia, a student at Leeds University, to see if she could join our project to do some work experience as part of her coursework. She was tasked with joining a local charity that help men with their mental health. So obviously, we fit that niche, perfectly! We threw around a couple ideas but what stood out the most was creating a campaign, encouraging men to open up. Georgia worked on this with myself.

We set up an online form, getting members of the public to answer two questions and then invited them in to film. The purpose of this campaign was to encourage men to open up about their feeling. When they came in to film, we asked them to pick another participant response at random and share their thoughts on that response. By doing this it shows just how many people think the same or are able to empathise with someone’s personal situation.”
