What is an IDVA?
Independant Domestic Violence Advisor.
An IDVA (Independent Domestic Violence Advisor) is a specialist worker who can offer support if you have experienced or experiencing Domestic Abuse. We can help by helping you devise a safety plan, or assist with housing if you need to flee. We can also be support you through the criminal justice system if you choose to make a report to police. An IDVA will be there to support you throughout the whole process, from making that first report to someone, to the end of the court process and beyond. We will be there to be your voice throughout.
